Tis' the Season!!

I don't know how it happened exactly but this year we had ALL of our Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving.  Every last present.  It made the season so much more enjoyable. We were not thinking about any of the shopping that had to be done and the stresses that come with the hustle and bustle of the season. Instead we were able to focus on the things that were important and spend quality time doing things as a family.  We saw the lights at Temple square.  We went to Farmington Station to see Santa Claus, We picked out our family Christmas tree and decorated it together.  Behind every picture is real life. Tantrums, complaining, whining, and frustrations....even from parents. However, with all the frustrations come many more moments of joy. I hope that is what my kids hold on to and remember.  We always need to seek the joy and focus on the positive. That is something I am still learning to do. I am grateful that we can make these wonderful memories with our own little family.
