Oldest City In The Nation

On Memorial day we spent the morning at St. Augustine which is actually the oldest city in our Nation. There is a lot to see and do, but with toddlers you have to keep it simple. We had fun seeing an old Spanish fort and watching the boats on the water.

Living in Florida has often made me feel like I am on vacation. Seeing all the palm trees, fun vacation spots, the beach, and a pool next to our house. It can at times make it a little hard to do all the day to day mundane tasks......all I want to do is play!!

Puddles

What do you do when it rains all day everyday for over a week? Either you stay dry inside or you get REALLY wet. We decided it was more fun to be wet. This week has been full of jackets, umbrellas, rain in our faces, jumping in puddles, soggy shoes, playing with worms, listening to thunder, hiding from lightning, and a TON of laundry. We are also finding ourselves worrying about alligators popping up on our front lawn.....yes real alligators. It happens all the time here in Florida with all the ponds and water around here, especially after a lot of rain!!

Dear Rain, We have enjoyed your stay but please go away. We are ready to go back to the beach!!!

First Ties

Thank you Grandma Lorz for the adorable Sunday outfits. I didn't know my boys would get so excited about clothing. But of course they are going to LOVE anything that makes them look more like their Daddy!! These boys have been waiting TWO whole years for their very own ties, and these were worth the wait!

Are you serious?

Matt informed me the other day that he would love to take the babies to the ward father son camp out. I said, "ya, that will be really fun next year." He then informed me that he was taking the boys this year!! So here I am alone away from my babies for a full night, for the first time EVER. Not quite sure how I feel about it. Of course thankful that my boys have a dad who looks forward to taking his boys camping, but also wondering how it will be trying to camp with two two year old toddlers, and no help. I would be lying if I didn't say that I am actually having a hard time with being away from my boys.

So, either Matt is the most incredible dad ever, or he is just crazy. Probably a LOT of both!!
