The Noel Family

My Grandpa Noel was born in June, we always celebrated his birthday with a picnic at my Aunt and Uncles house.  He isn't with us anymore but we still get together, the whole Noel clan....and you better believe there are always creamies to enjoy.  My little Nathan insisted on wearing his superhero cape that he made on his birthday....the only kid with a bright yellow cape and a hard baseball helmet, and of course cute as ever.

We sure missed Grandpa Noel, but there was still a lot of good company, fun games, and of course laughter....just the way he would have wanted it!

A happy birthday.

Marie turned one on June 14th.  We spent the day at the swimming pool.  That night she had a cupcake with a candle on it. Daddy bought her the cutest tea set with a teapot that makes "tea" sounds and talks, she loved it.  Of course we hung our balloon wreath on the door with her cute picture in the middle.

In one year this little girl has figured out what it means to be funny,

and she spends a lot of time making all of us laugh.

she causes some frustration always thinking she can do everything her brothers can do.......

but her cuteness way out weighs any little leg kicking tantrums she might throw.

she adores her brothers almost as much as I do,

and I find her to be a mix of both of her brothers....

deep thinker like her brother Daniel, with a little silly side like Nathan.

She is my best little eater and has had her share of sweets...thanks to her dad.

she loves to play with her brothers and can make her share of excellent car noises, yet she is ALL girl and loves her dolls and stuffed animals.

I often tell people that if I were guaranteed to have more babies one at a time, and as good as Marie.....I may never stop.

She is a light in our home, a little piece of heaven.  We love watching her grow and enjoy every second we have with her.  The only thing that makes me sad is she is growing too quickly and I can't stand the thought of her not being my baby anymore.  For her birthday all I want for her is to be healthy and happy.

I think all she wants is some teeth!!

We love you Marie, happy birthday to my sweet baby girl!!

The best way to survive the hot summer sun....with lots of shaved ice.  A treat for everyone!

T ball

Get your t ball shirts, find your t ball pants, get your belts, hurry and find your cleats, where are you mitts!!??!!??  That is what you would here coming from your home every Tuesday and Thursday as we were rushing around the house and of course late for t ball.  By the time I got a system figured out the ball season was over.  I didn't know if I was going to make it at first. Twice a week with a baby, trying to get dinner done, eaten, cleaned up and make it to t ball on time.  But after the first week or two I really started to look forward to it and the boys loved it.  Little Nathan would run for EVERY ball, it didn't matter if it was on the total opposite side of the field or not.  Daniel spent a lot of time coming to give us hugs when he was suppose to be out on the field.

Their enthusiasm for t ball made it so muc fun and they really started to get pretty good.  My boys energy does tend to drain mine at times, but even in the chaos of it all I feel completely blessed to have two healthy, happy boys who are so excited about all these new things they are doing and learning.

oh, and we love that both Grandma Lorz and Grandma Rounds could come watch a few games.

We cleaned the sink!

We had a family night lesson about service.  When it was over Matt asked the kids if it might be a good idea to go do service for someone else like helping them clean their kitchen sink.  The boys agreed...a little hesitantly.  So we went to the restaurant Angie's. The boys said "oh, we are cleaning the sink at the restaurant." We said yes it would be a nice thing to do.  The waiter asked what we wanted and we said "the kitchen sink" the boys were in total shock when they brought out an actual sink overflowing with ice cream.  They were so excited.  We told them it was time to clean the sink....and we ate and ate and ate, until the sink was clean.  We got our picture on the wall and a bumper sticker that says "we cleaned the sink at Angie's."  Daniel still doesn't understand why we don't have that on our car....some things are hard to explain to a child. It was a fun night and I will never forget the huge eyes and amazed faces when the sink was brought to our table.
