PUMPKIN PARTY

I decided the best way to get into the Halloween spirit was to have a party. I invited some mothers from my ward and a neighbor over for some pumpkin fun. All the kids got their own little pumpkin to decorate with markers and stickers. I also had a TON of pumpkin sugar cookies they were able to decorate. We had lots of pumpkin food and LOTS OF CHAOS!!............................that's my own cute little pumpkin in the back enjoying a pumpkin cookie wearing his pumpkin shirt! Here are some of the cute kiddos decorating their cookies.

It's nice having other mothers around to chit chat with.

I know, pretty crowded. No one seemed to mind, and I think the kids had a great time.

Some of my Halloween food creations.
I LOVE Halloween and I lOVE parties. So I think the pumpkin party is now a new tradition for me.

Playing in the Pumpkin Patch

One of my FAVORITE things about fall and of course Halloween is picking out pumpkins. We really wanted to go to a real farm where you actually "pick" the pumpkin out of the ground. They have those farms in Florida but they are a little expensive, so instead we went to a methodist church that was selling pumpkins. I think the boys had a lot of fun. They were actually excited about the pumpkins and wouldn't put their own little pumpkin down even when we got home, they carried them all over. It was a really fun day. This is Daniel with his favorite pumpkin that he picked to take home.
Me and my cut little punkins
We did have one little traumatic tantrum that took place when we had to take Nathan off of this tractor....he was not happy about that!

We still haven't carved them yet. I am a little worried about what the boys will do when we take a knife to their new favorite toys!!

Southern Women

Me and some of the other law school students wives went to the annual Florida "Southern Womens Expo." It was a lot of fun being surrounded by hundreds of Southern Women. There is just something about the south and the whole "southern hospitality" thing that is so true...but that's a whole other post. It was a nice little outing with REALLY good company. It is really fun to have so many other wives in my ward (I think around eight girls) who are going through the same thing as me(with their husbands in law school). My friend Amanda from Arizona and my friend Polyanna from Brazil(she speaks GREAT English). You need to notice that I do NOT have a child in each arm, which is a rare occasion, but thanks to Matt I was actually able to enjoy myself.
Polyanna was able to get a free little makeover. She looked even more BEAUTIFUL then she already is.
This is my cute friend with her adorable little baby. Thanks girls for a great day!!!

Yes...... it is stiiiiilllll Summer

So it is the middle of October and this is how we are spending our days. We are still playing out back in our swimming suits with lots of COLD water.

Daniel has been making this face a lot lately. It's like a stressed out look. I know he wishes I understood him and he could tell me his problems, but he still doesn't speak my language...just "twin language"(at least Nathan understands:)
Ohhhhh soooo sweet.

Missing Utah. Enjoying Florida.

I have to admit, it is not easy for me to be away from Utah during my favorite season...Fall. So that being said I am trying to make the best of enjoying Florida even though our Fall doesn't really start until November! We decided that it was time for a picnic at the beach.

Two of my favorite handsome little boys.

Little Nate can be VERY serious sometimes, but always VERY fun!!

Nathan has always been a daddy's boy.

A little out of order, but this is how we started our day. Who doesn't love blueberry pancake all over your face?

Nathan is taking care of some SERIOUS business on the way to the beach. You should hear him.....He knows how to JABBER like no one else, when he gets on the phone.
We decided to eat our food on the grass up higher than the beach area instead of on the sand. The reason being our little Daniel is notorious for dipping whatever he can find in the sand and then eating it!! He still managed to dip his fries in the sand a little later. My goodness, I just LOVE this little guy!!
So we may not have the beautiful autumn leaves falling all around us. But for now the beach will do!!

Priesthood Session

So, every 6 months when Matt comes home from Priesthood session I always ask.. "so what did you learn about?" He always comes back with some smart remark about how wives should be nicer and do more for their husbands. This time was no different. He just walked in the door, back from his meeting. I again asked "what did you learn about." I guess by now I should know NOT to even ask. His reply "we learned about making lists." I ask "what kind of lists?" He replies "lists for our wives." I then say "What kind of lists for wives?" He replies "lists that are easier for wives to read and understand, about what we want done, and the time frame in which we want it done in." (don't worry, those who don't know Matt very well...he is kidding, like always)

I guess I will again have to read Priesthood session in the Ensign when it comes out.

You gotta love husbands:)!!

(Don't forget to check out the little video in my post below, It's been awhile since ya'll have seen my cute boys)

Brotherly Love

We have been working really hard on this whole "brotherly Love" thing. I have to say it really is starting to work. The other day when Nathan was going in for a bite on Daniels head(a regular occurrence) He actually stopped(without me saying anything) and then kissed Daniel instead, and patted him on the head. I was sooo proud of him. I know that they can get REALLY frustrated with each other. I don't blame them sometimes, from the day they were conceived they have had to share my belly, my attention, their toys, their room, EVERYTHING(except a few personal toys we don't make them share). At times I wondered if they would ever want to be best friends.

Right now we are having fun. They are laughing together, chasing each other, wrestling each other while laughing, and even talking to each other in their own special language. I am loving it. I think it is the most fun I have had as a mother of twins so far. However, I am not ignorant and I KNOW that it will not always be this way, I am sure we have a lot of brotherly fighting to look forward to in the future!! I will enjoy every second of this stage though, while it lasts!!
