24th of July

For the last couple of years my parents have been coming up from Ogden to join us for the North Logan 24th of July celebrations. There is a parade and then tons of free games and booths set up.  There is also a Fire Station next to the park where all the festivities are held and they let one of the fire trucks spray water over the park. The kids get soaked and they love it. It is a lot of fun, and it has meant a lot to me to have my parents there for the last few years to celebrate with us.

We started a new tradition this year.  We decided to buy some of our own fire works and set them off at our house in the evening.  I thought Matt went a little over board with all that he bought, but we did get through them pretty quick so he decided to run back to the store for more.  The kids were so excited, and when those were gone it was late and the kids asked him to go back to the store again for more. Matt and I laughed about that, knowing they could have done fireworks all night had we let them!
