My brave boy.

Recently we decided to have Nathan's tonsils looked at.  He has always been a loud snorer and he has trouble eating and being able to breath through his nose.  The doctor agreed that Nathan would need his tonsils and adenoids out.  We did it his last day of school so that he wouldn't miss too much t-ball, or other fun things going on during the summer.  I am so proud of how Nathan handled everything.  He was scared but very calm.  He asked a lot of question but tried so hard to be brave.  he cried a few times before, talking about it, and then when they were prepping him to go back for surgery I noticed a few tears running down his face.  We got him to give us a little smile but you can see in his eyes that he is worried.  It was so cute how he held on to his daddy's hat before and during surgery, for comfort.  When it was time for him to go back for surgery he walked back with the Anesthesiologist and he was so brave.   When it was all over, he still didn't even complain much and Matt was able to hold him and comfort him while he was waking from surgery.  The next few weeks were a little hard and somewhat painful for him, but I am so proud of how well he handled everything. I loved being the one to take care of him once we got home.  He really is such a sweet boy, and I feel so blessed to be his mother.
