Daddy's girl

I don't think there is any place she would rather be.

Kindergarten Graduation

I fought back the tears during the whole Kindergarten graduation program.  Not that it was suppose to be that emotional or anything, but I just can't hold back the tears as I think about how blessed I am to have these sweet boys in my life.  We for sure have had our share of ups and downs this last school year. Learning how to get my boys out the door on time without yelling and tears is still a work in progress.  I get frustrated with how many times I have to ask them to go find their shoes or get their back packs on, or hurry and brush your teeth.  It didn't matter that school was in the afternoon, it still seemed like soooo much work just getting them out the door each day and then getting their homework done each afternoon.  Through it all, it has been a great learning experience, and I am so proud of who these boys have become and all that they have learned.  It really amazes me!!  They had a new teacher named Mrs. Martinez,  she was so sweet and did a great job teaching them so much.  I think they really enjoyed school and I was so thankful that Mrs. Martinez really enjoyed and loved them.  There is a little sadness in my heart that their Kindergarten year is over and now they are going to be going to school all day, but mostly I am just full of gratitude that I get to be the mother of these wonderful little boys, and I get to watch them grow and learn every single day.

Sleeping Angel

Sometimes I just want to capture the sweetness and innocence of my little sleeping kiddos.  It doesn't really matter how hard the day was if this is what you get to see at the end of it.

                            ............Off to save the world!!

Logan Zoo

I don't even know if you can really call it Zoo especially after being spoiled by the Jacksonville Zoo while we were in Law school.  But we still like to visit every once in awhile and this day we chose an excellent time to come.  The boys actually got to hold a bird, which was pretty exciting.  We came really close to a peacock.  We stuck our heads in funny cartoon scenes and we saw a few other interesting animals, and then we played at the park right next to the Zoo....which was probably their favorite part.  Not the greatest Zoo ever, but we have to support what little one we have!

Soccer

Soccer was so much fun this year.  I loved watching my two boys chasing after that ball.  They did so well for their first time and they really loved every game and practice they had.  They had a great coach who did such a great job teaching them the basic skills while still making it fun.  I really enjoyed watching the games surrounded by family and great friends.  It was fun to laugh at the cute little mistakes they would make and it was exciting to see them get their first Goal.  I guess the stress of getting them ready for Soccer and keeping track of all their gear is outweighed by how much fun it is to watch their excitement for the game.  I can't wait until next season!

Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy has been coming around here a lot lately.  He has already lost two on the bottom and now he has lost two on the top.  I think they are just going to keep falling out.  Good thing he looks so cute with or without his teeth.
This little girl LOVES flavored ice.  I don't know what we would do without our little ice shaver machine.  I love how it keep her occupied for quite sometime and that it's not anything that will fill her up so that she won't eat her meals.  It's just an easy way to keep her busy and happy, so we seem to be shaving a lot of ice these days!......oh ya, and aren't those the cutest pig tails you ever did see!!

Baby Animal Days

Every year in Logan they have Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center.  We have never gone because it is quite pricey.  This year we decided to go, and I am so glad that we did.  We picked a rainy day, which worried me at first but it turned out to be the best idea.  The lines were not as long and the kids were able to see and hold and do a lot more.  I did not know before we went that the kids actually get to hold the baby animals.  They may have been a little hesitant at first but once they were actually holding the animals they LOVED it!  We also were able to arrive about five minutes after a mother Sheep had given birth to a tiny little lamb.  It was so sweet to be there for those first few moments of that little lambs life.  Marie went on the little train with Matt and he said that she was really scared and he worried she was going to freak out and want to get off, but she ended up doing ok and probably even liking it a little.  We also go to see the baby cub bears that they brought to Logan from Wyoming.  We had to wait in a line to see those but it was really neat to be so close to those cute cub.   I hope we can make Baby Animal Days a tradition, it was really a neat experience for us all.

Naked Easter

Some years it seems a little harder than others to fit in the "fun" Easter celebrations with all of the important Sunday activities.  Because our church starts at 9:00, we didn't want to do Easter celebrations until after church.  It worked out great and the kids were excited when they got home and found their baskets waiting for them.  They also loved the egg hunt in our first ever backyard.  We took Marie's dress off while she was eating all of her Easter goodies and then we were to lazy to put it back on as she went outside for the egg hunt.  So she got to do her little hunt half naked!  That is just fine with me, and she was happy as can be.  I hope my children always understand what a special holiday Easter is.  How blessed we are to know that we will live again and be with our families again for Eternity all because of the sacred gift Jesus Christ has given to us through his Atonement and Resurrection.  I am so grateful to know this and hope my children really understand the importance of this holiday as well.
