GO AGGIES!!!!

It's that time of year were everything revolves around Football.  It takes up most of our Saturdays, and seems to be on the T.V. around the clock.  It really is my favorite time of year.  It starts getting cooler outside. The holidays are just around the corner. School starts again, and it is just gorgeous outside with all of the changing leaves.  I think this year will be a little different having a newborn at all of the games but it is a tradition and one day Ava will appreciate Football season as much as her sister Marie......well maybe not that much!!  Marie wakes up everyday saying she needs to wear her Aggie clothes for the game.  She knows the cheers and sings them all over the house.  We are an Aggie family and we are raising our children right!!

Precious little Ava

I'm pretty sure it's normal to be bias and think that your baby has to be the most adorable baby that ever was.  This is what I think of my sweet Ava girl.  I don't think I could have dreamed up such a beautiful baby. My Heavenly Father has blessed us with such beautiful, sweet, healthy children.  Ava has been such a joy in our family.  She is a pretty good sleeper and an AMAZING nurser.  I have not had one issue with nursing and have never had to feed her a bottle.  One thing I always want to remember about my Ava is her trying to communicate with me from the tiniest age. It seems that right after bringing her home from the hospital she would stare into my eyes and she would just start moving those little lips and that little tongue would poke in out out as she would just jabber away.  I felt like she was really trying to tell me something and i hoped it was stories about the other side of the Vale.  It's amazing the Spirit these babies bring with them since they were so recently with their Father in Heaven.  I couldn't ask for anything more. I am truly blessed with an amazing family.

Lagoon

Probably a little bit crazy to take a newborn baby to a theme park, but Lagoon has always been one of my favorite places, and my boys have been dying to go there ever since we lived right behind it when living in  Farmington.  Sure it was hot, and not the easiest most comfortable place to be when it came to finding a place to nurse but it was sure worth it!!  I don't know who had more fun the kids or Matt!!  He took turns going with the boys on ride after ride. Because the lines weren't too long we were able to ride what we wanted over and over again.  It was so fun to see the Joy on Marie's face as she went on the rides for the first time.  She talked about the whale ride and how "it goes around and around," for weeks. And cute little Ava did great!! She just slept the whole time.  In fact it's probably easier to take her as a newborn then it would be to take her next year at this time as a toddler!!  Lagoon will for sure be a family tradition for years to come.  It was so much fun to be with Natalie and her kids as well as Grandma and Grandpa Noel.  Grandma amazes me with her ability to go on so many of the spinning rides without feeling a bit sick.  Our kids are sure lucky to have such fun Grandparents!!

Ava's Birth

I have so many thoughts and feelings when I look through these pictures of Ava's birth.  I can't believe it has already been two months since this sweet little baby entered our lives.  She has added so much joy into our home.  I remember the morning of her birth being prepped for surgery. Matthew always finds some way to make me laugh when I am feeling so anxious about everything. There are so many emotions going through me, excitement, and worry being the top two.  Everything went perfect.  This is my third c section and my fourth child and I feel so blessed that every time and with every child everything goes perfectly.  We have never had one problem and I can't even tell you what a blessing that has been.

When Ava was born she did not cry very much.  It worried me a little but I heard the nurse who was working on her kept saying how perfect she was, so it settled my nerves a lot.  Everyone kept talking about how much hair she had and how cute she was.  I remember when the handed her to me I just sat and stared into her eyes.  She looked all around and kept blinking.  I kissed her soft little cheeks and just stared in amazement at my new little baby. What a miracle, what a blessing!  In the recovery room they brought her to me and I could not believe how easily she latched on and started nursing, and she has never had one problem since.

The kids were so excited to meet her.  Marie thought the baby was hers and wanted to hold it whenever she wanted to.  She is still learning how to treat a new baby.  Daniel loved holding her and was all smiles and questions.  Nathan is probably the most into her though.  He was the same way with Marie.  I am amazed at how well he does with babies. He talks and sings to them.  He shows them books and tells them stories.  The other day he was holding Ava and pointing to all her body parts telling her what they are.  He is so cute with kids and it makes me so proud to watch him with his younger siblings.

At the hospital Matt was really excited to give Ava a bath.  It was really important to him to be able to give her her first bath and he is so sweet when he does it.  He also bough me and Ava flowers, like he did when Marie was born.  I am so thankful for such a loving husband who is so cute with our children.

Ava has brought a lot of love into our home.  It is not easy having four children but it also wouldn't be right without all four, our family feels good, it feels complete.  There is nothing like cuddling and loving a new baby.  Ava has been a good baby and doesn't always get all the attention she deserves since there are three others to attend too, but she is learning to be patient.  She is probably the most beautiful baby ever.  She looks just like Marie did, but with even more hair!  She was born 7 pounds and 18 1/2 inches long.  She is just perfect and everyday I have with her is such a blessing.

We love you Ava Karen Lorz!! We are so happy you are part of our family.
