Haircut.

She is pretty much the cutest when getting her hair cut.  She loves to have it done! I think it has a little something to do with the treat they always give her.  What a blonde beauty she is!

9th Wedding Anniversary

Matt and I were lucky to be able to spend a long weekend with each other to celebrate our 9th Anniversary.  We decided last minute to take off to Las Vegas Nevada.  We were able to find inexpensive hotel at the Luxor so we rented a car and spent over 7 hours together just driving and talking.  We were proud of ourselves that not once did we have to turn the radio on! We were having so much fun just being together and enjoying each others company.  We did a lot of walking around sight seeing in Vegas and a LOT of eating.  We spent quite a bit of money in order to eat at a wonderful buffet that had all you can eat shrimp and crab legs.  it also had every other kind of food you could ever imagine plus a dessert bar that was pretty much amazing.  We had so much fun being together. I am thankful we have gone through the ups and downs, excitements, and difficulties, that we have gone through because it has made us a stronger couple.  I look forward to spending the rest of eternity together.

Sunday Dinners

I'm sure that we will look back on our Sunday Dinners at Grandma Lorz's house as some of our fondest memories.  Laughing around the table with Grandma Lorz and Scott and Brenda Bennetts family.  Lots of yummy food and always a dessert.  Kids playing outside at the park or downstairs in Grandma's fun basement, while the adults talk and laugh around the table or sprawled out all over the living room couches and floor.  I am so grateful to have a mother in law who puts forth so much effort each Sunday so that we can all get together and come closer as a family.  I am blessed to be a part of Matthew's wonderful family and to have his mother as one of my own.

I guess there isn't much we aren't willing to do in order to get some free food!!  We were all happy to be dressing like cows, but Ava seemed to be the only one who realized how ridiculous we all looked in public!

Ava Karen Turns ONE!

This last year with our sweet Ava has been a year of blessings.  Sometimes I look at Ava and I am in completely overwhelmed with how beautiful she is.  I don't know why Heavenly Father keeps blessing us with beautiful healthy babies, but I do know that I will be forever thankful.  Ava is such a cuddly baby and toddler.  She loves to be held and kissed and hugged and tickled.  She loves her brothers and of course she always wants to be with her dad when he is around.  She is a little more shy and timid then Marie was at this age.  She has beautiful hair that I get to play with and put in quite little piggy tails.  We have people tell us everyday how beautiful she is, and of course we already know.

The day of her birthday was the day after the 4th of July celebrations and it was also Logan Frandsens baptism. So we celebrated Ava's birthday in Payson with the whole family on her actual birthday.  Ava got a couple of baby dolls, which seem to be her favorite thing right now.  I have never had a baby that was playing with dolls and playing pretend as early as she is in her little life.  I find so much joy in watching this little one grow up, and I am thankful for the blessed year it has been because of Ava.  Happy Birthday Sweet girl!! We love you!

4th of july

Well I think it's obvious looking at the last picture of Nathan, that we had way too much fun.  We always enjoy the fourth of July celebration at the cabin.  This year was especially crazy because we had to head all the way down to Payson the next day for Logan's baptism, which was also little Ava's birthday.  It is crazy to think that exactly one year ago we were awaiting the birth of cute little Ava, and had no idea just how beautiful and special she was going to be.

My favorite part of the day was watching my parents having a water fight with all the Grand kids.  They were like little kids themselves squirting everyone with water. It makes me want to be healthy and active so I can have as much energy as my parents when I am a Grandma.  We are so blessed to have such incredible family so close by.  Happy Fourth of July EVERYONE!!
