Two little boys turn two

Two years ago at this time I was COMPLETELY overwhelmed wondering how in the world I was going to take care of two very different little babies. Of course we felt blessed but we really had NO idea what we were doing. Honestly I am just thankful that we made it two years and we are all still alive and happy! I can't explain how much I have fallen in love with these special little boys. They continue to amaze me everyday with their capacity to learn and love. Things are getting easier or I am just getting more use to being a mother, either way I would not trade this opportunity for anything. I loved these babies from the moment I knew they existed and I did not realize how much that love would grow with every day that I am their mother.

In the beginning it was sleepless nights and delirious days. It was late night feedings and double the crying(triple if you count me too), It was lots of dirty diapers, feedings, burpings, and praying. Now it is still a Lot of work but a lot more giggles, hugs, kisses, playing, singing, reading, and trying to enjoy each moment knowing that the years and the stages do pass by very quickly.

Happy Birthday Nathan and Daniel. Thank you for a very fun day and for making our lives so bright!

We love visitors

One of my best friends Amy came with her husband Grant to visit for a few days. We were able to do a few fun things....like of course visiting the best Zoo EVER!! It was so fun to have them here. They don't have kids yet so I'm thinking that after spending time at our crazy house they are probably going to wait a reeeeeaaaal long time before they even think of getting baby hungry. Although they were really cute with our boys and I KNOW they will make great parents some day. They were here over Valentines day, which worked out perfect. They spent the day together at the beach and then they let Matt and I go out in the evening. Matt bought me these beautiful flowers.
Little Nathan snuck in this picture......that's ok he always makes pictures better anyway.

Loving the sunny day at the Zoo!

It's hard for Daniel to hide his belly these days....the boy loves to eat!!

Nathan cracked us up as he was chillin' in the wagon with both legs hanging out.
Thanks for visiting us guys, we always love visitors....especially those who will babysit for free:)

New tradition

Matt had a great idea of making a new tradition that Sunday nights he would make a dessert with the boys. Tonight was peach cobbler. I don't think he realized how NOT easy it is to cook with both the babies at the same time. A lot of what I heard was Matt saying things like....."don't eat all the cake mix, please don't stick your finger in that, your ruining the sugar(I still don't know what that one meant), don't throw that on the floor, please don't eat all that sugar that's disgusting, Well at least we are making memories!"
When it was all said and done, every dish was used and there was more dessert on the floor than in the pan. Matt's last words were....."next Sunday we are having bananas for dessert!
I wonder if this will still be a tradition next Sunday?

don't be jealous

Just a couple of weeks ago we where in Utah. We had so much fun, but after a couple of weeks shoveling snow everyday, driving 20 mph so we didn't die on the icy roads, and just plain FREEZING we were very ready for some warm weather. The day after we got home we went to the Zoo. It was hilarious to see moms bundling their kids up with coats and hats because it was in the low 70's. Needless to say, we were in shorts and sandals and loving the warm weather!!
Yes, those are flowers blooming in the background!!

And here we are in the snow in Utah. The boys loved the snow. Daniel loved eating the snow. He eats snow in Utah and sand in Florida.

Even though we are loving the warm weather(and going to the beach tomorrow:) Don't be jealous. It really is all relative...once it hits June, July, and August, it will be soooo hot we will be jealous of all of you in Utah!

Little Studs

My boys sporting some of their new Christmas presents. Thanks to wonderful Grandparents our boys had an amazing Christmas. Matt and I spent a total of $1.98 on our boys for Christmas....yes that is true one dollar and ninety eight cents. We are poor.......Nathan and Daniel have no clue. They got a new wagon, tricycles, new clothes, a tool set, a cleaning set(for my little janitor Daniel), animals, blocks, books, stickers, sunglasses, and on, and on, and on!!! We are so thankful for parents who love our little boys and can step in....at least until "Santa" is finished with school.
