Missing Utah. Enjoying Florida.

I have to admit, it is not easy for me to be away from Utah during my favorite season...Fall. So that being said I am trying to make the best of enjoying Florida even though our Fall doesn't really start until November! We decided that it was time for a picnic at the beach.

Two of my favorite handsome little boys.

Little Nate can be VERY serious sometimes, but always VERY fun!!

Nathan has always been a daddy's boy.

A little out of order, but this is how we started our day. Who doesn't love blueberry pancake all over your face?

Nathan is taking care of some SERIOUS business on the way to the beach. You should hear him.....He knows how to JABBER like no one else, when he gets on the phone.
We decided to eat our food on the grass up higher than the beach area instead of on the sand. The reason being our little Daniel is notorious for dipping whatever he can find in the sand and then eating it!! He still managed to dip his fries in the sand a little later. My goodness, I just LOVE this little guy!!
So we may not have the beautiful autumn leaves falling all around us. But for now the beach will do!!

Priesthood Session

So, every 6 months when Matt comes home from Priesthood session I always ask.. "so what did you learn about?" He always comes back with some smart remark about how wives should be nicer and do more for their husbands. This time was no different. He just walked in the door, back from his meeting. I again asked "what did you learn about." I guess by now I should know NOT to even ask. His reply "we learned about making lists." I ask "what kind of lists?" He replies "lists for our wives." I then say "What kind of lists for wives?" He replies "lists that are easier for wives to read and understand, about what we want done, and the time frame in which we want it done in." (don't worry, those who don't know Matt very well...he is kidding, like always)

I guess I will again have to read Priesthood session in the Ensign when it comes out.

You gotta love husbands:)!!

(Don't forget to check out the little video in my post below, It's been awhile since ya'll have seen my cute boys)

Brotherly Love

We have been working really hard on this whole "brotherly Love" thing. I have to say it really is starting to work. The other day when Nathan was going in for a bite on Daniels head(a regular occurrence) He actually stopped(without me saying anything) and then kissed Daniel instead, and patted him on the head. I was sooo proud of him. I know that they can get REALLY frustrated with each other. I don't blame them sometimes, from the day they were conceived they have had to share my belly, my attention, their toys, their room, EVERYTHING(except a few personal toys we don't make them share). At times I wondered if they would ever want to be best friends.

Right now we are having fun. They are laughing together, chasing each other, wrestling each other while laughing, and even talking to each other in their own special language. I am loving it. I think it is the most fun I have had as a mother of twins so far. However, I am not ignorant and I KNOW that it will not always be this way, I am sure we have a lot of brotherly fighting to look forward to in the future!! I will enjoy every second of this stage though, while it lasts!!

Hurricane Season

This year has been CRAZY for hurricane scares. It seems like we get through one hurricane scare, just to find out that there is another one on the way. Being inside so much has made me think to much and sometimes that is not a good thing. I tend to get a little sad when there is bad weather day after day. I remember in Logan having a hard time emotionally near the end of the Winter. I guess the gray days start to make me feel a little dreary(is that a word?) The hurricanes kind of remind me of life. You get through one trial only to find one more on the way, but in between you are blessed with moments of joy and days of sunshine. Here we have used the days of sunshine to prepare ourselves for the potential hurricanes. We have been lucky, only having some Tropical storms. However, it has already been kind of a long month for me, and I am looking forward to winter(winter here is more like fall or spring).

This is outside our back porch on a particularly rainy and windy day.
All this inside time has officially turned my kids into T.V. watchers. Yes, I know children under the age of two are not suppose to watch T.V. Well, since the days these kids were born I dreamed of the day we could all just relax and watch a movie together. That day will soon come but as for now I am happy with them making it through at least half of Sesame Street.
I know, that is pretty sad that my 18 month old knows how to use a remote.
Nathan wanted to be wrapped in a towel after playing outside in the rain. He stayed all "straight jacket like" for a long time.
This is my finished project that my cute moms wanted to see. I was working on it a little while they were in town. Painting the old curtain rod and old picture frames, as well as the old table we got when my Grandpa passed away. They wanted to see it finished and hung....so here it is. I only had to buy the black paint and the ribbon to hang the pictures. My craft projects have to be cheep these days!!
Thanks mom for helping me paint my table.

For the record, I do not let my kids watch T.V. all day. They usually only get to watch Sesame Street in the mornings. But I have to admit I am always tempted to let them watch a lot more!!

MAYBE I AM A little BABY HUNGRY!!

Sometimes I wrap my boys up and we pretend they are little babies. It's kinda sad how big they are getting.
NO!! I am not making an announcement, I'm just starting to feel like maybe I won't wait until Nathan and Daniel are teenagers before getting pregnant again.

FAREWELL TO SUMMER

I guess summer is technically over, even though it is still VERY HOT here in Florida. I love this time of year.....(in Utah) when it starts to cool off, and everyone is going back to school. Fall is my absolute favorite, and it is just around the corner. These are the last of my summer vacation pictures from Utah that I have wanted to post. I'm glad my boys had an exciting summer because things have REALLY slowed down for them lately. We don't get out a lot because Matt is now back in school and also we don't want to get swept away in a Hurricane. Summer was a blast but I have to say it has been nice getting back into the daily routines of life. And I'm sure my two little munchkins will continue to make life really EXCITING!! The babies LOVE Grandma Lorz's new piano. Sorry Grandma about all the little finger prints:)
The boys thought it was more fun to poke the animals at "this is the place park" instead of actually pet them.
Having fun with Grandma.
The Dinosaur park in Ogden. Really fun!The babies LOVED Uncle Steve. I guess he was the next best thing since their dad couldn't be in Utah.
CUTEST little nerd EVER!
Just swinging with Grandpa Noel.
A little train ride with one of my favorite little boys!
Goodbye Summer, it's been fun, see ya next year!!
