Hockey

The boys had an opportunity to participate in a free two week hockey program near our home.  Of course the loved it, mainly because the seem to love all sports at this age, and of course the wanted to sign up.  I know Matt would have loved to sign them up but Hockey is SO expensive and we just weren't quite sure it was something we really wanted to commit to.  So we had a fun two weeks and then of course on the last day Daniel fell really hard and hurt his tailbone pretty bad. Poor kid.  I was impressed at how well they did out on the ice, and I am pretty sure it's because of all the roller blading that they do. They were able to go ice skating with their school class and I went with them. Everyone was impressed at how well they did on the ice. I guess in the future if it's still something they want to do then we will save up and let them try it out again.

Be still my heart

Cute Daniel has had such a spiritual side to him since he was just a baby.  And ever since he could talk he has asked for his own scriptures. That is what he wanted when he turned 3.  I often see him trying to read the words and it make me so happy. As I look at this picture I am reminded of the responsibility I have to help my children have a desire and a love for the scriptures.
Smoothie Face!!

Princess tea party using my tea set from when I was little. They were very careful with it. Ava especially loved the animal crackers and Marie loved the "tea" which was flavored water. They were so cute. I love having little girls.

Ogden Triathalon

I was able to participate in my first Triathlon this year. I was so nervous about it, even though I was only doing the running part which was a 5k. I worried about coming in dead last.  Cole did the swim and my Dad did the biking, and I did the last part which was a run.  I did pretty well and felt good about it. It was a lot of fun to do it together as a team and with my family.  I liked having my boys watch me finish, and I think it inspired them to want run in some races as well.  It was a beautiful day. I am so thankful for healthy body that lets me do so many amazing things.

Sweet Pea Dance

Well we started Marie in dance this year. I think she loves it even more than Preschool. She gets so excited to go. The first class they put her in was the wrong age group. She was the littlest one out there. She didn't seem to mind at all but I thought she might have a little more confidence with kids closer to her own age. so we switched her.  She looks so cute when she is dancing and the dancing never stops at home either. She does twirls all of the time and once in awhile she will do a new little move for us. I can't wait to see her in her recital!

Wagon Rides

Many times after school I send the boys out to take turns walking Ava and Hadley around the block. Marie will usually follow on her bike.  It can get so crazy trying to help two kids with homework, entertain a preschooler, and keep my toddler happy, all while trying to get dinner ready and try to keep up the house so it looks somewhat decent when Matt gets home.  I have to say it is for sure my least favorite part of the day.  I keep reminding myself that these crazy days won't last forever but most days I am just trying to survive!

Lunch time!

tickling Marie

She's all about fun, this little girl. Never serious for very long, and never upset for very long either. We get a few doors slams hear and there as she storms off to lock herself in a room when she is upset, but she soon comes out with a big smile on her face. She isn't easy to tickle because she freaks out a little and goes into fight mode. She does a loud high pitched scream/laugh and then proceeds to attack you with her little arms and legs. We still tickle her anyway.

Favorite time of year

We look forward to USU football season all year. The weather starts to cool off and the Aggie Sweatshirts come out. The "A" tattoos get put on little cheeks and bags of kettle corn get passed all around. Sometimes it gets really cold and I get to cuddle my little babies on my lap. Other times Grandma and Grandpa Noel are there to help entertain the little ones. And if it gets just to cold, then I head home early and sit by the fire and watch Netflix. Of course checking the game score on my phone. Fall is my favorite season and the football games are the perfect way to start the fun time of year.

Preschool

Marie was so excited to start Preschool this year.  She couldn't wait to wear her Tinkerbell backpack. She is so much fun to get ready for school in the mornings because she loves to wear cute clothes and get dressed up. She even likes getting her hair curled and looking cute. She really enjoyed her first month at Jolene Tingy's preschool but I decided to have her go to a two day preschool instead of three day because she had trouble potty training, and I wanted a preschool that was a little more like what I was use to. She now goes to Mrs. Heather's Little Bears Learning Den Preschool. She was happy in both, but I am happier with her their. I have decided that next school year I will start my own Preschool That way I can spend even more time with Marie and I can structure the Preschool the way I want it. I am really excited even though it will take a lot of time and energy to prepare my basement for it.

I love Marie so much. She is such a little light to me and everyone else. Her Grandpa Noel says she is so pleasant. Always saying she loves you and giving hugs. She is always twirling around the house, and she loves to play with friends. She is the most social child I have.  She lights up the room with her smile and big blue eyes and her sweet, fun, personality makes her even more beautiful. I am so thankful to be her mom and to watch her excitement over all the big and little things that come into her life.
